Fireplace Reno - BEFORE

Oh. My. Goodness. If you have been following along on Instagram for any amount of time, then you know this fireplace renovation has been A LONG TIME in the making. Like...a whiiiiile....
But that’s ok! Good things come to those who wait! And this has certainly been worth the wait. This isn’t a blog that only shows you the fun and easy side of DIY. No. That isn’t being real and it isn’t fair to you! I want you to feel empowered when dreaming about your own home. And if that means learning from my mistakes and delays...then so be it!
The truth is…most renovations take a while. There are delays, bumps in the road, it’s way more expensive than you thought, things you didn’t or didn't consider, you mess up, you don’t have the right tools…and the list goes on. It happens….
Renovations also require some knowledge. Go figure. LOL. And while I’m a *FIRM* believer that you can learn and do anything that you want to do…if I can get some hands on help from someone who is experienced, then I will take it!
Surprise! That help is here! Besides being the best dad in the entire world….he also just happens to a DIY master. About a month ago he offered to come out and help me. To which I joyfully said, YES PLEASE!
And I’m so glad I waited and didn’t go it alone. I cannot wait to show the grand reveal this weekend. Until then, I will leave you with the before pictures. Let these before pictures *BURN* into your brain....
It will never look like this again. Promise…
